Kichwa Tembo

Kichwa Tembo is an oasis of Hemingway-style tents shaded by dense forest canopy. Kichwa Tembo which means "head of an elephant" has luxurious tent with a private deck with sweeping views of the greatest grassland system on earth, the Masai Mara. From your patio, you are bound to see herds of elephants pass. Warthogs and impalas are resident wildilfe within the Kichwa Tembo compound.

Kichwa Tembo has 40 canvas safari tents, each with a private outdoor deck where you can enjoy the wildlife within and outside the compound. Each of the room have private bathroom with shower, stone floors and soft lighting. Each tent stands at least eight meters away from the next, ensuring seclusion. Kichwa Tembo is in Western Masai Mara. The camp offers night drives which you can book when at the lodge.

Kichwa Tembo Bateleur

Kichwa Tembo Bateleuris an oasis of Hemingway-style tents shaded by dense forest canopy. Each of the luxurious tent has a private deck with sweeping views of the greatest grassland system on earth, the Masai Mara.

Kichwa Tembo Bateleur Camp has only 9 canvas s afari tents, each with a private outdoor deck. There is an en suite bathroom with shower, stone floors and soft lighting. Each tent stands at least eight meters away from the next, ensuring absolute seclusion.

Mara Explorer

This exclusive camp offers 10 luxurious spacious tents with its own private deck overlooking the Talek River. Each well furnished tent reflects a distinctive 'Explorer' style, have special touches like kitenge (colorful cloth) for outside tub as well as lounge chairs where you can enjoy the wildlife coming for drinks or swimming in the Talek River.

Delicious 3 meals are served using fresh vegetables and herbs grown in the camp gardens. Your meals can also be enjoyed at the verandah, or at one of the 'bush sites' close to the camp. Askaris (Maasai warrior security guards) accompany you to and from your tents in the early morning and evening.

Mara Intrepids

Sitting above a sweeping bend in the Talek River, at the confluence of the Masai Mara's four game-viewing areas, Mara Intrepids enjoys one of the most spectacular locations in the world's best-known wilderness. The camp is a short drive from the Mara River, where more than a million wildebeest and zebra make their perilous migration crossing every July and August. For the remainder of the year, the camp offers some of the world's finest game viewing, with large local populations of plains game, elephants, rhinos, buffalos, and all the big cats.

Each of the 30 rooms are raised on stilts, and opens to the Talek River with that signature view of the endless plains. The tents are large and spacious with private verandahs to enjoy the river and the plains, giving infinite views of the Mara. It's luxury in the wild.

Sanctuary Olonana



This small and exclusive camp, the first of Sanctuary's luxury safari properties, was built along sustainable lines which, along with Sanctuary's innovative wetlands and tree-planting projects, have earned it a silver award from Ecotourism Kenya.

Sanctuary Olonana's main dining room and veranda command views over a dramatic stretch of the Mara River. See, and hear, the family of noisy hippos who colonise the banks below the camp. Experience first hand the sheer scale of the annual wildebeest migration across East Africa. The camp has a library, a pool and even an organic garden where much of the food served in camp is grown. And who could forget the mini-spa where guests can experience traditional African remedies alongside French marine therapies from Thalgo.



The fourteen canvas tents at Sanctuary Olonana are extremely comfortable and spacious. All have parquet floors, four-poster beds and private verandas overlooking the river.
