Kirurumu Tented Lodge
Built on the escarpment of the Great East African Rift Valley, Kirurumu Tented Lodge offers a spectacular panoramic view of Lake Manyara from the front and the Ngorongoro Highlands from the behind. Each of the 20 eco-friendly simple yet comfortable tents, pierced on a natural stone, have their own verandah offering privacy to enjoy the view in luxury. The dining tents and lounge also have amazing views of Lake Manyara. The lodge is built strategically with close attention paid to landscape and lighting so as not to disturb the pattern of migratory bird.
Maasai guided 1-2 hours ethno-bothanical walks are available. Your guide will introduce to the flora and fauna of Manyara region. You will start in the morning before you head to your next Safari destination.
Each of the exclusive 10 tree houses have been built on stilts, in the boughs of ancient mahogany trees, discreetly tucked away n the forest.
The tree houses have been crafted from local timber and makuti (palm fronds) and feature large open decks and spacious rooms with large windows to invite the flourishing forest into the luxurious elegance of each room.
The interiors of the tree houses are a sumptuous combination of natural fibers, pure cotton linen and contemporary furnishings. The bedrooms consist of four-poster bed-like drapings with mosquito nets and earthy, understated accessories in natural colors and textures. There is an exhilarating outdoor shower while the private verandas have comfortable furniture and offer extensive views of the lovely forest environment.
