Arusha Coffee Lodge is recently renovated and the results are in the details. The new 23 luxury chalets are built within a running coffee plantation. The rooms are beautifully fitted with wood-paneled walls, split level floors and the furniture is all very stylish. The best part, each of the rooms have a private verandah for your morning coffee overlooking the plantation.
For relaxation, there is a pool which is reserved for hotel guests and the surroundings are very pleasant for lying out and enjoying the Tanzanian sun. They also offer Thai massage by appointment. If you enjoy a good meal, Arusha Coffee Lodge offers Redds African Grill House.
Kigongoni Lodge
Kigongoni Lodge surrounded by coffee farms is about 45 minutes away from Kilimanjaro Airport and is one of Journey To Africa's favorite lodges to overnight.
The reason is the first thing when you wake up the next day (on a clear day) is the beautiful views of Mt. Meru as well as Mt. Kilimanjaro. You can enjoy the views from the dining room or your verandah. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds for a good night sleep after a long flight and/or Mt. Kilimanjaro climb. When staying at Kigongoni, you are supporting the Sibusiso Foundation which teaches mentally disabled children in Tanzania to help themselves. From Kigongoni, you can visit the Sibusiso Foundation, canoe in Lake Duluti, go on a short nature hike around the area, book horse riding in Ngare Sero or go golfing in Arusha.
Onsea House is perched on a hill providing unparalleled panoramic views across the Maasai steppe, Monduli Mountains and unrivalled spectacle of Mt. Meru. The cozy and tranquil Country Inn consists of 2 double suites opening onto the shared terrace. The adjacent self contained Guest Cottage, each room with private wooden balconies, can easily accommodate 6 people.
